Windmill Art Group
The Windmill Art Group is a small group of local artists in Nuneaton who work in a variety of mediums on wide ranging themes. The group was founded as a class in the 1980’s by Sylvia Rochford in her home and in 1999 moved to the Scout HQ. The group works without a tutor, on their own pieces, but benefits from constructive criticism, technique sharing and sense of humour. Members have won various awards at The Nuneaton Festival of Arts, including trophies. They have also collaborated in producing larger works, where each member painted a section in their own style and medium. Exhibitions have been held in Atherstone Heritage Centre, Nuneaton Museum and Art Gallery, Open Arts Trail 2016, 2017, 2018 and StoneFest in Atherstone in 2017 & 2018. The group has a friendly atmosphere and long history of creating and sharing a passion for art.
